This is a study looking for people who practice mindful running to take part in a research project with Bangor University. Are you a mindfulness practitioner who runs or perhaps a regular runner who also practices mindfulness? Do you run mindfully?

The purpose of the research is to help us understand mindful running. What is the experience of running mindfully for people who practice it and what are the benefits/challenges? There is a great deal of interest in mindful running in the media but very limited scientific research to date.

To take part you will need to be a regular runner*. For the purposes of the research this includes any adult (18 years or above) who completes at least 2 kilometres a week. You also need to have completed a mindfulness course (e.g. an MBSR or similar). The Participant Information Sheet provides further details and explains what would be involved if you chose to take part. To participate in the research please complete our online form

* This includes people who run with a guide (e.g. visually impaired runners), or people who use a wheelchair or any other support such as artificial limbs.

This is a Master’s degree project and interviewees would be really helping with my research project. The interview will take less than an hour and will be via Zoom at a time to suit the interviewee.
