On May 8th, the KU Leuven Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences will award an honorary doctorate to Emeritus Professor Mark Williams from Oxford University for his exceptional and transformative scholarship in three areas of clinical science on depression: memory, suicide, and mindfulness.
Preceding the evening academic ceremony with the awarding of the honorary doctorate, the faculty organizes an afternoon symposium on depression with three cutting-edge keynote talks and a closing talk by Mark Williams on depression. Each keynote talk will cover one of the three areas of depression science in which Mark Williams’ work has been, and still is, hugely influential.
