The Mindfulness Group for Men (MGM) is a free monthly online session open to both men who are completely new to mindfulness and to those with experience. All our sessions are guided by qualified and experienced volunteer teachers.
We meet once a month and alternate between the third Saturday of the month (11am to 12pm, UK time) and the third Tuesday of the month (6pm to 7pm, UK Time).
Yes, men meditate too!
Statistically, more women practice mindfulness than men, showing that we seem to be less drawn to the world of mindfulness. But regular practice may bring many benefits - help you live in the now, relieve stress, lower blood pressure, become less reactive and support a calmer disposition.
The MGM was set up in January 2021 by Carmelo Di Maria with the intention of creating a welcoming place for men to begin their mindfulness journey and /or deepen their practice. Our ambition is to attract more men into the practice of this millennial wholesome tradition.
Our freely-offered events are part of an initiative called the Mindfulness Network Community Friends. As a charity we want to continue to provide opportunities for mindfulness practice to all. If you would like to make a donation, no matter how small, can do so here: https://home.mindfulness-network.org/donate/

"I teach MBSR at the Tampa VA hospital and I've been regularly attending the virtual Mindfulness Group for Men offered thru the Mindfulness Network Community Friends. These monthly sessions for men are wonderful and I look forward to each one … even with a 5 hour time zone difference. The camaraderie of the UK guys make this very special for me. It's especially rewarding that we have both an arrival practice plus a longer 20-30 Min practice which still gives us time to check-in with each other to see how we are doing. I definitely recommend this for anyone that has ever practiced mindfulness… beginners and experienced will find it very beneficial." Rich Cohen, Tampa, FL.
